MFT Sketch Challenge #327: Hedgehog Card

Hey Everybody!

I just wanted to share with you guys my entry for this week’s sketch Challenge.

I’m still trying to use stamp sets in my pile. I really love this Happy Hedgehogs Stamp Set from MFT and I’m finally getting around to using it! This is what I came up with:

I colored the images with Copic markers and used E31, E33, and E37. I also took a dark brown Prismacolor Pencil Crayon and roughly went over the spines.

I die cut the, “hi” die from the Hello There Die-namics twice in white cardstock and once in a gold glitter cardstock. I adhered and stacked them on top of each other with the gold on top and set it aside.

I die cut the purple fishtail piece from Mama Elephant’s Pizazz Pieces Creative Cuts then stamped it with dandelion and leaf stamps from the hedgehog stamp set in Versamark. I cut off a bit off the top because the die also cut little holes to use it as a banner but I didn’t want it. To compensate, because that one side didn’t have any stitching, I took a single stitch line from
My Favorite Things Basic Stitch Lines Die-Namics and ran it through my Cuttlebug to give it some stitching.

I took some kraft cardstock and used the large rectangle stitched die from Mama Elephant’s Basic Set Dies to get that great stitched edge detail, then I used the Stitched Strip Die-Namics and ran it through the centre.

I cut a light green banner using MFT Blueprints 27 and a circle from the Stitched Mini Scallop Circle Stax Die-Namics.

I assembled my card and popped up the hedgehogs and log with 3M foam tape.

This card was also entered in Simon Says Stamp’s Wednesday Challenge.
