Mama Elephant The Cat’s Meow Birthday Shaker Card

So one of my best friends turned 30! I really wanted to make him a cat card so I dug through the pile of stuff I haven’t used yet on my desk and pulled out Mama Elephant’s The Cat’s Meow Stamp Set. I also recently acquired the Celebration Balloons Stamp set and they work SO WELL together, that I had to use them both.

I stamped the crowd of cats and the Hooray balloon, as well as, 3 of the circular balloons and 3 of the heart balloons from the Celebration Balloons Stamp set. I cut them out with my coordinating dies and proceeded to colour them.

The cats I coloured with my Zig Clean Colour pens but unfortunately, I didn’t write down what colours I used.

For the Balloons, I used Copics YG11, YG06, BC75, BG72, B02, B00, YR16, YR02, Y06, B37, and B34.

I stamped a piece of white cardstock with MFT’s Mini Hexagon Background stamp in Mama Elephant Moonlight ink.

The frame I cut using the largest rectangle from MFT’s Single Stitched Rectangle Frames. I assembled my shaker card and filled it with a mix of confetti, sequins, and chunky glitter.

To finish up my card, I brushed all the balloons with my Clear Wink of Stella and applied Glossy Accents to them.

I also decided to make a matching envelope so I made an envelope using We R Memory Keepers Envelope punch and cut out an envelope liner out of the matching blue cardstock that I used on the shaker frame. I stamped the liner with MFT’s Paw Print Background Stamp.

I don’t know what day of the challenge they’re on but I have also uploaded to the 30 Day Colouring Challenge that you can find here as well as, Simon Says Stamps Wednesday Challenge here.

Thanks for stopping by!!!
