I had this idea for this card for a long time. I’m so happy I had time to execute my idea. The seagulls are so cute!! They definitely remind me of the seagulls in Finding Nemo!!
This is a fairly simply box card, I just used the Seaside Seagulls Stamp Set and Mama Elephant’s Ocean Waves trio dies.
If you’re unfamiliar with box cards, you can check out my box card base tutorial below:
I used paper from MFT’s Sweet Sunshine 6″x6″ Paper Pack for my decorative panels and I have 5 slats in my box to start.

I die cut one of each wave and ink blended them in Distress Oxide Inks Twisted Citron, Broken China, and Faded Jeans. I positioned the waves on the 1st, 3rd, and 5th slats.
I stamped out one of each seagull from the stamp set and coloured them w ith Copic markers. I used the following markers: C3, C2, C1, C0, 0, E37, E33, E31, Y17, Y15, and Y21.
I also stamped out 3 clouds and highlighted them with Copic B00.
I adhered one seagull on the front of the box pop up, 2nd, and 4th slats and then glued seagulls right onto the waves on the 3rd and 5th slat. The clouds were glued onto strips of acetate and adhered onto the front of the box pop up, 4th slat, and directly to the background.
The sentiment was heat embossed with Wow Bright White Embossing Powder and says, “I’m so glad you’re mine, mine, mine”.

Too bad it wasn’t February, I could have totally used this as a Valentine’s Day Card too!!
