MFT Space Explorer Floating Astronaut Birthday Shaker Card

I’ve been loving MFT’s Space Explorer stamp set these days. It’s been sitting on my desk since I madethis Valentine’s Day shaker card. I made this floating shaker card with Lawn Fawn’s Out of This World Stamp Set and this floating shaker card with Lawn Fawn’s So Jelly stamp set and I felt like it was time to make another one.

I stamped out the images from MFT’s Space Explorer stamp set with MFT Black Licorice Ink. I used the following Copic colours:

Astronaut: E33, E31, E95, YR00, B97, B95, B93, Y06, R37, C5, C3, C2, C1, C0, 0
Saturn: Y08, Y06, Y02, YR16, Y38
Stars: Y06
Rocket Ship: T7, T5, T3, T1, B000, R37, B97, B95, B93, Clear Wink of Stella in the window and filled with Glossy Accents

I ink blended the background with Distress Inks Mustard Seed, Twisted Citron, Carved Pumpkin, Wilted Violet, Mermaid Lagoon, Chipped Sapphire, and Black Soot. I sprayed the background with water, Perfect Pearls diluted with water, and white craft paint.

I die cut the frame using Mama Elephant’s Basic Set and Peek A Frame Set and a banner from MFT’s Blue Prints 27.

I heat embossed the sentiment, “Mission Control, We Have a Birthday!”, in WOW Opaque White Embossing Powder.

I adhered the astronaut on a piece of Singer Nylon Thread. I assembled the shaker card with acetate and 3M foam tape and added the astronaut between the layers of 3M foam tape. I filled the shaker card with sequins and confetti.

I finished off the card by applying Clear Wink of Stella to my 3 stars.

That finishes up by card. This card was entered into Simon Says Stamps
