Waffle Flower Get Well Soon Card

I’m loving Waffle flower lately!!! Sometimes it’s nice to make simple and normal cards. I recently got some Clarity Stencil Brushes and wanted to try them out so I planned to do a simple ink blended background with the large bed image from the Get Well Soon Stamp Set. This is how it turned out:

I masked the off the wall and lightly ink blended with Gathered Twigs Distress Oxide Ink. Then I used the opposite side of the mask and masked off the ground and ink blended the wall with Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide Ink. I cut out the panel with the stitched rectangle from Mama Elephant’s Basic Set then proceeded to stamp the sentiment, “Get Well Soon”, with Versafine Ink. I heat embossed it with WOW Clear Gloss Embossing Powder and set the panel aside.

I stamped out the image of the cat with the bed, the bowl, and the ice pack with Simon Says Stamp Intense Black Ink and coloured the images with Copic Markers. I used the following colours: BG78, BG75, BG72, BG23, BG15, E37, E33, E31, Y11, W0, W2, and 0.

I cut out a matte using some kraft card stock and the criss cross border rectangle from Mama Elephant’s Sew Fancy Die Set.

I adhered my card together and used 3M foam tape to pop up my ink blended panel, as well as the cat image in bed.

That finishes up my card. This card was entered into The Daily Markers Coloring Challenge here, as well as Simon Says Stamps Wednesday Challenge here.
