Lawn Fawn Hay There Spinning/Slider Sheep Card

I wish I could make more spinning/ slider type cards but alas, Canada got rid of pennies back in 2013. I have a very small stash of pennies left. Occasionally, I’ll have a relative come from the U.S. and they’re nice enough to give me their change ^^”…

For my last card in my interactive card set I wanted to do a spinning/slider card. I thought it would be fun if the sheep was jumping over fences.

This card is relatively simple compared to my other cards. I’m really loving Lawn Fawn’s Stitched Windy Backdrop so I used it again for this card. I also die cut out some rolling hills with Lawn Fawn’s Stitched Hillside Borders. I cut the slider channel with Lawn Fawn’s new Slide On Over Semicircles and die cut them several times and in a way that they were all connected so it looked like the sheep was jumping over those fences.

The sheep and fences are from Lawn Fawn’s Hay There stamp set. I used the following Copic colours on my card:

Sheep: E95, E93, E49, C1, 0
Fence: E31, E33
Grass: YG00, YG03, YG06, YG17

I didn’t like the look of a sentiment on the front so I decided to do the inside of this card. I die cut Lawn Fawn’s Happy Birthday Border. I trimmed off, ‘you’, and trimmed both sides so they were equal. Then I heat embossed “EWE” with the letters from Owen’s ABC’s with Nuvo Classic Gold Detail Embossing Powder and cut the letters out with their coordinating dies. I also stamped and cut out an extra sheep for the inside.

Lawn Fawn Hay There/Beam Me Up Pivot Pop Up Card

I LOVE INTERACTIVE CARDS!!! I was excited to see that Lawn Fawn released this die and I definitely preordered it to make sure that I could get my hands on one!

For my first pivot pop up card, I thought about a funny idea for a while and I’m finally getting around to creating it now! I absolutely love Lawn Fawn’s Beam Me Up set and the cow from Hay There. Wouldn’t it be funny if the aliens were abducting the cow? ^___^

I cut all my pieces for the pivot pop up and I ink blended them, my card front, and inside my card with Distress Inks Carved Pumpkin, Mustard Seed, Twisted Citron, Mermaid Lagoon, Wilted Violet, Blueprint Sketch, Black Soot. I also sprayed the panels with Perfect Pearls diluted with water.

I used the following stamp and die sets on this card:

Lawn Fawn Hay There: Cow, barn
Lawn Fawn Beam Me Up: Spaceships, alien, sentiment, beam
Lawn Fawn Out of This World: stars, planet
Lawn Fawn Meow You Doin’?: ZZZ’s
Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside Borders
Lawn Fawn Pivot Pop Up Die
Lawn Fawn Little Picket Fence Border
Lawn Fawn Cloudy Hillside Pop Up Add On

I stamped 2 cows from the Hay There Stamp Set and carefully wiped away the ink on the eyes before stamping it. I wanted to draw in my own eyes to give more expression to the cow.

I used the following Copic Markers:
Cow: E49, E47, C1, 0, YR00, YR000, 100
Barn: R29, R35, Y21, YE23, E37, E35
Spaceships: B00, B000, B02, B05, B24, B28, G05, G07, YG06, YG03, Y06, YR68, YR16, V09, V06, V15
Earth: B02, B00, YG06, YG11
Alien: YG06, YG03
Stars: Y08, Y06

After colouring the spaceships I filled the glass area with Glossy Accents and set them aside to dry.

I heat embossed my sentiment with Lawn Fawn White Embossing Powder and cut down the sentiment into strips.

I adhered everything into place and called it a day!

Lawn Fawn Hay There Box Pop Up Card

Hey Everybody,

This is card 1 of 3 for my interactive card set for Lawn Fawnatics current challenge.

I made this box pop up card using the Scalloped Box Card Pop Up die. If you’re unfamiliar with how to use this die, you can check out my Youtube tutorial below:

I put 4 slats in my box to start and decided to build a simple scene that consisted of rolling hills. For my hills I used both the Simple Stitched Hillside and the Stitched Hillside Borders, as well as the Little Picket Fence Border. I cut the hills using a textured green cardstock to add a bit of visual interest to the card and I made the fence white for contrast.

My backdrop piece was cut with Lawn Fawn’s Stitched Windy Backdrop die and then I added a little sun from the Spring Showers Lawn Cuts.

I coloured my images with the following Copic Markers:

Barn: R29, R35, Y21, YR23, E37, E35
Cow: E49, E47, C1, 0, YR00, YR000, YR02, 100
Horse: E37, E33, E31, E41, E49, E47

I used patterned paper from DCWV ‘The Playtime Stack’, and I stamped the sentiment with Versafine and heat embossed with WOW Clear Gloss Embossing Powder.

I decorated the back with an extra hill and cow.

Lawn Fawnatics Challenge #26: Card Set Challenge

This week’s Lawn Fawnatics Challenge is a card set challenge. I don’t make a lot of card sets so I had to think for a while about what direction I should go in and what I should make for this challenge. I decided to focus on Lawn Fawn’s Hay There stamp set, as it is near the top of my to-use pile, and decided to make an interactive card set.

When I was little I absolutely loved the game Harvest Moon. If you have not heard of it, it’s a farming life simulator game and the cows in it are super cute. The stamp set kind of reminded me of that game, and into my shopping cart it went. I basically bought the stamp set because of that cow!

Lo and behold, this is what I came up with. One box pop up card, one pivot pop up card, and one spinning/ slider card.

Each card took some time to do so I feel each card deserves its own blog post. If you want card details, check my subsequent blog posts or click on the associated links below!
